Genostar Rinderbesamung GmbH, a joint venture of the Chambers of Agriculture and cattle breeding associations from Styria and Lower Austria, built a new production facility with an integrated laboratory unit at its Kagelsberg site. The objective of this new construction was to consolidate bull housing across Lower Austria into a single location. This forward-looking project ensures the keeping of valuable breeding bulls to the highest animal welfare standards and the production of semen under optimal hygienic conditions, in line with the latest scientific knowledge.
For the roof covering, the choice fell on our Ondatherm® 1001 sandwich panel with PIR core. This special sandwich panel is particularly suitable for agricultural operations as well as industrial and commercial buildings due to its large span widths of up to 6 meters. The geometric joint design ensures optimal water drainage, and the roof panel can also withstand high snow loads in winter. The additional exterior roof shell Trapezea® 32/207 T from ArcelorMittal Construction Austria protects the roof structure from environmental influences and is perfect for implementing simple roof structures thanks to its low weight and easy installation. The trapezoidal sheet is also available as a light-transmitting panel and can be delivered in lengths of up to 18 meters. For particularly economical building envelope design, our Ondatherm® 2003 sandwich panel with PIR core in LD2 was used. The Ondatherm® 2003 sandwich panels offer consistent climate control, excellent thermal insulation, and also maximum stability and load-bearing capacity.
